Reactive
Surfactant
Emulsifier
Since:
1. Solvent base polymer emulsion has
health and environmental problems.
2. Water base polymer emulsion has low water
resistance.
So: It require for reactive type surfactants in future.
Reactive surfactant series are newly developed
polymerizable surfactants with radical
polymerizable propenyl group. They are used as
an emulsifier in synthetic resin
polymerization, the excellent emulsification
and polymerization stability are obtained.
Characteristics:
1. As emulsifier, polymerizable surfactant has
similar property as conventional
surfactant.
2. Foaming of the emulsion is low, and
defoaming speed is high.
3. The stability of polymerization is better
than conventional surfactants.
4. Surface tension of the emulsion is high.
5. Non-migration phenomenon.
6. High water resistance of the latex's dry
film.
7. Decrease waste water treatment cost.
Usage:
1. Acrylic emulsion for
a. Paint, Ink
b. Textile
c. Paper
d. Civil
engineering (Dispersion)
2. Acrylic emulsion for adhesive
3. Styrene/Butadiene latex
4. Acrylnitrile/Butadiene/Styrene resin
5. Vinyl Chloride paste
6. Improvement of resin in anti-static
property, active property.....etc.
